Oswego District AGL article September 2010

Autumn activities and reminders

My Brothers: Norm and I hope that all of you had a great summer and are looking forward to another Masonic Year.

Like last year, we will be visiting each lodge and presenting a program designed to enhance your enjoyment and understanding of our ritual. Also, the AGLs will be meeting with Grand Lecturer Tooms in August and I know Chuck has some ambitious plans for us. One that he has already alluded to is classes to help with the ritual floor-work. More on this as our plans develop.

We have 7 new Masters in the district and I would like to remind them along with the repeaters that Norm and I would really appreciate a copy of your trestle-boards to help us to plan our year. In that same vein, we would also like to know when you are having practice for your degrees. The quality of degree work in the Oswego District is not bad at all but we do strive for perfection and besides the more ritual I see, the better AGL I can be for the district.

Finally, the Grand Lecturer's Convention will be the last Friday in October at Lake City Lodge. We will be doing things a little different this year in that there will be no afternoon session. Dinner will be at 6:30 followed by the convention. This is your opportunity to meet Chuck, a very amiable guy, and get the answers to all those ritual questions you have been dying to ask. You will not be sorry you attended and your lodge pays for the dinner, how can you beat that.

Oh Yea, don't forget the Brotherhood Fund.
